Karmic Law # 4 - Live your life awake as you live it asleep.

When we're in a restful, deep slumber we have zero restrictions. We're autonomous spirits without limitation or biased opinion. We can fly, we can say and do anything and become anyone we want. We have freedom, blissful freedom. We haven't the wall of doubt to scale nor the fear of falling once we've reached the top of that wall. Our subconcious mind is no longer standing guard once we fall asleep thus allowing us to exercise and live, without impunity, those ideas which our conscious mind had repressed and charged us as perception of guilt.

Why can't we break free of these repressions and constraints while we're walking down the street or talking with a friend?

You can!
It's a matter of containing and training our ego to coalesce with our unconscious mind. The end result being balance and harmony of self.
One way I've come to merge both my conscious, irrational mind with my subconscious, stressless mind is with deep contemplation and meditation. Once I've blessed the new day, I give myself a minimum of 20 minutes to sit comfortably and reflect on what I had experienced during the night while I was lucidly dreaming. I write my reflections in my journal and thank myself then close with a small prayer.

Karmic Law #3 - Live with purpose while remaining true to your vision.

Successful people know that within themselves is an aspiration of greatness. These people don't rely on luck or chance or even fate to deliver to them a future they've bled for.

I don't particularly care for the term destiny because it reduces the responsiblity of the bearer who's ultimate goal is to reach his/her personal zenith and accomplish those ideals which they hold true in thier hearts. Destiny is more of an excuse than an answer to the questions we ponder. Living with a purpose, regardless of what that purpose is, be it spiritual, financial, sexual; gives us clarity. Clarity to filter out the discontent and wade through the miasma of developement decomposition. With clarity comes the benefit of congruence. Having the confidence to transcend our obstacles is what seperates the winners from the non-winners.

Having a vision will divide those who merely exist day to day and those who cherish each breath and know that within them shines a light as bright as a thousand suns, and in turn, aid them in every facet of thier being.
I keep books which flourish with positivity and radiate a sense of excitement next to my bed and in my bag. This way I always have something tangible to turn to for momentary inspiration.

Karmic Law #2 - Don't be so full of yourself that you aren't able to swallow your pride.

Pride is the downfall of a man's character. It's an insensitive conclusion from an irrational decision which pits your consciousness against your ego. Your ego, if not properly trained and controlled, will most certainly run rampant and cloud every thoughtful decision and cause you to form unsound judgements. The conclusion will always lead to regret.

By learning to accept your own point of view and keep your sense of self worth in tune with your mental acumen you'll have the necessary awareness to look at a given situation from different vantage points and perspectives, thus giving you more options for dealing with said situation.

These various choices are what seperate mature, masculine thinking from spontaneous/irrational decisions which will not merit any worthwhile experience.

Keeping a high regard for your own opinion and the opinions of your brothers and sisters will enable you to not only accept constructive criticisms but, more importantly, give you the foresight to pass your confidence onward.

The Karmic Laws:

Karmic Law #1 - Love yourself thoroughly without regret or hindrance.

Gaining an understanding of who you are in every facet of your existence will raise your awareness and awaken the immense potential you have locked within your self.

If you want to gain mastery of your own destiny and lose your fear of the future, you first need to express your love for yourself and hold tight the reigns of your life.

This is the number one step. It is also the most frightening. Becoming aware of the possibilities when you successfully accept your desire to succeed is like finding the X mark on the treasure map of your own life! You will still have challenges and roadblocks but with The Karmic Laws you'll be able to find new roads to detour around and continue ahead on the path of progress.

Only you can control the power of your destiny. The right you're given from birth is the power to control ONLY what is yours: your mind, actions, emotions, behaviors, attitudes, your immediate surroundings and your own personal boundary.

This is what you own.

The abuse of our power comes when we believe we know what's best for someone else and delegate our beliefs onto them. If you want to feel a sense of intimate power and control over your own life, simply respect another's autonomy and they will listen to what you have to say and thus internalize it.

Inside of us all we have a boundless generator of energy. Our goal is to manipulate this energy for the betterment of our own lives and focus it outward through our thoughts, words and actions.
The moment you realize how precious this energy is and use this power wisely, you are given more of it exponentially.

As I add more and more of The Laws it will become clear as crystal that every personal relationship, whether it be casual dating, committed relationships, marriages, family, close friends and colleagues; all are the end result of how much you love yourself and respect your personal boundaries.
